Institutionelle Evaluation

Institutional Evaluation

The core element of the integrated quality management is the institutional evaluation.

With the institutional evaluation, TU Darmstadt pursues the goal to support the ongoing strategic development of the university as a whole and on the levels of departments, central services and central administration as well as to promote quality assurance and enhancement. The results of the institutional evaluation are summarised in an agreement on objectives between the Executive Board and the evaluated unit, which is intended to provide medium-term planning reliability.

The institutional evaluations of the departments are also used for the (continued) development of the degree programmes at TU Darmstadt.

The institutional evaluation comprises four phases:

  1. Self-evaluation and report
  2. Review by an external evaluation committee
  3. Agreement on objectives between Executive Board and unit
  4. Implementation and monitoring

The institutional evaluation is carried out approximately every seven years.

Agreements on Objectives and Monitoring

The institutional evaluation was established at the TU Darmstadt in 2009. Here you will find an overview of all terminated agreements on objectives as well as of the corresponding monitoring with the departments, central facilities and the central administration.
