Project Management for doctoral candidates from the Department of Mechanical Engineering
Effective planning and project management for your PhD-success
The demands on doctoral candidates are high. Your first major research project presents scientific challenges but also requires a high proficiency in planning and execution. Project management skills and competencies in time management are indispensable for productive progress. In this workshop, you will learn project planning techniques and apply them to your own research project. Thus, one of the key products you will take away from this workshop will be a project plan for your PhD. In addition, we will discuss effective strategies for implementing your project plan – that is, for effective time management and self-motivation. Finally, given that constructive feedback is vital for quickly completing your PhD, we will explore ways to actively seek and receive valuable feedback on your work.
