The Scientific Advisory Council was established in 2011 to recommend to the Presidium in strategic or structural matters of university development. The Council advises on the fundamental positioning of the university, it comments on essential strategic matters, and assists with the development of the research profile of TU Darmstadt. The Scientific Advisory Council can launch internal calls for proposals, receive and review proposals or mandate external experts to evaluate them.
