During the on-site visit, the review panel, led by Prof.in Dr. Carmen Leicht-Scholten (RWTH Aachen), held intensive discussions with representatives of the department, students, cooperation partners and the executive board on the future development of the department. The evaluation focus was on the Department’s research strategy, professorial appointment planning in Sports Sciences and Pedagogy, fostering of Early Career Researchers and further development of degree programmes.

The review report is expected in March 2025. On this basis, an agreement on objectives will be concluded between the department and the executive board presumably in autumn 2025.
