Agreement on objectives signed by the Department of History and Social Sciences in March
2025/07/22
As part of the Institutional Evaluation in 2024, the department and the Executive Board have agreed on objectives for further development.
The agreement on objectives is the result of the third Institutional Evaluation of the Department of History and Social Sciences. The Department of History and Social Sciences began the institutional evaluation process with a kick-off meeting at the end of 2023. The self-evaluation report and on-site review in July 2024 addressed topics such as research and professorial appointment planning, studies and teaching, including plans for the development and expansion of degree programmes, and early career researchers.
Based on the recommendations of the external review panel in its review report, the comments of the President and the department's response to the review report, the President and the representatives of the department agreed on a set of objectives in March 2025 [published internally at the university (opens in new tab)]. here
The revision and quality assurance of the degree programmes in the Department of History and Social Sciences began once the review report was available. The launch of the newly developed and revised degree programmes is planned for the 2027/28 winter semester.
Two monitoring discussions are planned during the implementation period of the agreement on objectives, the next evaluation process is intended to take place with an on-site review in the summer semester of 2031.
