Agreement on Objectives of the Department of Chemistry signed

2025/09/24

Following an evaluation by a six-member expert group in February 2025, an agreement of objectives was developed based on the assessment results.

The Department of Chemistry entered the third cycle of the Institutional Evaluation in April 2024. External experts examined its development plans and future strategies during an on-site visit in February 2025 and summarised their assessments and recommendations in an evaluation report. The agreement of objectives based on these recommendations has now been signed by the President and the Departmental Chairperson of the Department after being discussed by the Senate and the University Council (September 2025). The topics of the Institutional Evaluation focused on the research strategy and the further development of the degree programmes. The degree programmes are scheduled to start in the winter semester 2027/28. The President and the department will continue to discuss the agreement of objectives over the coming years and will exchange information on the status of implementation in two monitoring meetings during the period of validity of the agreement (next evaluation planned for winter semester 2031/2032).
