For employees of Darmstadt Technical University who are covered by collective agreements, the provisions of § 40 No. 2 to § 3 (4) of the TV-TU Darmstadt collective agreement apply to secondary employment. According to these provisions, secondary employment must be notified to the employer in writing in good time in advance. The employer may prohibit secondary employment or impose conditions if it is likely to interfere with the fulfilment of the employee's obligations under their employment contract or the legitimate interests of the employer. The regulations for civil servants apply as a basis for assessment in this regard.
