Election proposals can be submitted in writing to the Election Office (S1|03, 351), wahlamt@zv.tu-darmstadt.de, fax number: 06151 16 26448, no later than Monday, 21 September 2026, 12:00.
Nominations received after this deadline cannot be considered.
The election will be conducted as a postal vote. Those entitled to vote will receive the election documents without being asked and can send their election letter to the Election Office of the TU Darmstadt, Hochschulstraße 1, 64289 Darmstadt or post it in the letterbox of the Election Office at Hochschulstraße 1, 64289 Darmstadt, S1|03 in front of room 351 until Monday, 26 October 2026, 12:00.

The deadline for challenging the election results begins to run upon the announcement of the results. A written request to challenge the results may only be filed with the election office within ten business days of the announcement of the election results, in accordance with § 29(3) of the Election Ordinance (WahlO); see § 32(1) of the Election Ordinance (WahlO).
In the summer semester of 2026, the student members of the University Assembly and the departmental councils as well as the student members of the joint commissions of the study areas, the student parliament and the student councils will be newly elected. At its constituent meeting on February 10, 2026 the Election Board and the Election Committee adopted the following amended schedule and amended election announcement in a joint meeting on June 25, 2026:

In the election period from 15 June 2026, 12:00 noon to 22 June 2026, 12:00 noon, the university elections will take place as electronic elections. The electronic elections at TU Darmstadt will take place via the POLYAS voting system. The voting software used, version CORE 2.5.4, has been certified by the Federal Office for Information Security (BSI) in accordance with international Common Criteria Standards.

The deadline for inclusion in the electoral register in order to have the right to stand and vote in the 2025 university elections is 1 April 2025. The electoral register will be published from 20 April 2026 to 24 April 2026, 12:00. During this period, it will be possible to inspect the electoral roll and check the personal entry. During the period of publication, it will be possible to check your own entry on the intranet (online inspection) in accordance with Section 14 (6) sentence 3 WahlO. For online access, a login with TU-ID and password is required at https://www-cgi.hrz.tu-darmstadt.de/wahl/wahleinsicht.php. In addition, all members of the university can inspect the electoral office during this period. Please make an appointment in advance by telephone or e-mail.

In accordance with Section 97 (7) of the Hessian Staff Representation Act (HPVG), a student assistant council must be elected at the Technical University of Darmstadt.
The election of the student assistant council took place from 22 January 2026 to 29 January 2026 as an electronic election with the option of postal voting upon request.
The term of office of the members of the Student Assistant Council begins on 1 April 2026 and ends on 31 March 2027.

The meeting of the election committee and the election board to count the votes for the 2025 university elections and to determine the preliminary election results took place on Thursday, July 17, 2025, at 3:00 p.m. Many thanks to everyone involved for preparing and coordinating the date.
The 2025 University Elections took place electronically during the election period from June 23, 2025 to July 3, 2025.
During this period, the election portal was accessible to all eligible voters via the following link:

The registration takes place with TU-ID and password via Single-Sign-On. After successful login, the link to the election is displayed. After clicking on the link, the user is redirected to the actual voting system via a secure link.

For the winter semester 2024/2025, the student seats on the committees of the Joint Commission of the Department of Energy Science and Engineering (ESE) – Group II (students) – and the Student Council of the Department of ESE, the Faculty Council of Department 3 – Group II (students) and the Student Council of Psychology are vacant.
In order to be able to fill the committees, supplementary elections were requested in accordance with Section 33 (7) of the TU Darmstadt election regulations. In a joint meeting with the election committee on 15 October 2024, the election committee decided that supplementary elections would be held ex officio as postal votes.
