Actual Elections
In the summer semester of 2025, the members of the University Assembly and the departmental councils as well as the members of the joint commissions of the study areas, the student parliament and the student councils will be newly elected. At its constituent meeting on 4 December 2024, the election committee adopted the following schedule:
In the election period from 23 June 2025, 12:00 noon to 3 July 2025, 12:00 noon, the university elections will take place as electronic elections with the option of postal voting on request. The electronic elections at TU Darmstadt will take place via the POLYAS voting system. The voting software used, version CORE 2.5.4, has been certified by the Federal Office for Information Security (BSI) in accordance with international Common Criteria Standards.
In order to receive postal voting documents, a written application must be submitted to the TU Darmstadt Electoral Office by 4 p.m. on 2 June 2025. The form for applying for postal voting documents as an alternative to electronic voting is available for download below:

The postal vote application can be sent by post or e-mail to the electoral office. The requested postal voting documents will be sent out at the beginning of June 2025.
The submission of election proposal lists and all associated documents is possible until 5 May 2025, 16:00. This is a cut-off deadline. Election nominations received after this deadline cannot be accepted for the elections. The forms for submitting the lists of nominations are available below:
Forms for the submission of election proposal lists
The deadline for inclusion in the electoral register in order to have the right to stand and vote in the 2025 university elections is 1 April 2025. The electoral register will be published from 28 April 2025 to 5 May 2025, 16:00. During this period, it will be possible to inspect the electoral roll and check the personal entry. During the period of publication, it will be possible to check your own entry on the intranet (online inspection) in accordance with Section 14 (6) sentence 3 WahlO. For online access, a login with TU-ID and password is required at https://www-cgi.hrz.tu-darmstadt.de/wahl/wahleinsicht.php. In addition, all members of the university can inspect the electoral office during this period. Please make an appointment in advance by telephone or e-mail.
At its next meeting on 13 March 2025, the election committee will adopt the election notice for the 2025 university elections. Following this meeting, the election notice will be published on the homepage of the Electoral Office.

For the winter semester 2024/2025, the student seats on the committees of the Joint Commission of the Department of Energy Science and Engineering (ESE) – Group II (students) – and the Student Council of the Department of ESE, the Faculty Council of Department 3 – Group II (students) and the Student Council of Psychology are vacant.
In order to be able to fill the committees, supplementary elections were requested in accordance with Section 33 (7) of the TU Darmstadt election regulations. In a joint meeting with the election committee on 15 October 2024, the election committee decided that supplementary elections would be held ex officio as postal votes. At its meeting on 14 October 2024, the Election Committee approved the schedule and the election announcement for the election of the Student Assistant Council. Both documents can be found below:

All persons who are employed as student assistants at TU Darmstadt at the time of submitting the election proposal are eligible to vote (eligible to stand for election).
The submission of election proposal lists was possible in the period from 4 November 2024 to 29 November 2024, 16:00. The following list of election proposals was submitted by the end of this submission period

All persons who are employed as student assistants at TU Darmstadt on election day are eligible to vote (active voting right).
The election of the Student Assistant Council will take place during the election period from 23 January 2025, 12:00 noon, to 30 January 2025, 12:00 noon, as an electronic election with the option of postal voting upon request. The electronic elections at TU Darmstadt take place via the POLYAS voting system. The following information is aimed exclusively at student assistants who were hired after the electoral roll was drawn up – cut-off date 10 January 2025:
If you were hired as a student assistant after the electoral roll for the upcoming election was drawn up, you will have the opportunity to exercise your right to vote exclusively by postal vote until the end of the election period.
To do so, you must submit an application for postal voting to the Electoral Office of Technische Universität Darmstadt in order to receive postal voting documents. Please use the following form to apply for your postal voting documents:

You have the opportunity to apply for postal voting documents until the end of the election period. Voting by postal ballot is possible until 30 January 2025, 12:00 noon. The election letter must be received by the electoral office (room S1|03, 351) by this time. Details of the postal voting procedure are explained on the ballot paper sent to you.
A copy of your employment contract as a student assistant must be enclosed with your postal voting application as proof of your eligibility to vote and sent to the Electoral Office:

In September 2024, the deputy members of the Representative Body for Severely Disabled Employees were newly elected. The election committee established the following election results at its meeting on 23 September 2024:

The elections were necessary in accordance with Section 17 SchwbWVO as there were no deputy members left for the remainder of the term of office of the representative body for severely disabled employees. At its meeting on 8 August 2024, the election committee decided in accordance with Section 2 (4) SchwbVWO and the election notice dated 24 August 2022 that four deputy members were to be elected in this by-election. In accordance with Section 11 (2) SchwbWVO, the election committee decided to vote in writing (postal vote). The election documents were sent to the eligible voters unsolicited by the electoral office.
The submission of election proposals was possible until Monday, 26 August 2024, 15:00. Within this period, a list of nominations was submitted that fulfils the formal admission requirements and has been approved by the election committee for the by-election of the deputy members of the representative body for severely disabled employees. The candidates are announced below:

The overall voter turnout is 36.5 %. The voter turnout at the Technical University of Darmstadt is 44.98 %.
