Process Management is a method of exchanging information about common processes and their goals across organizational boundaries and agreeing on the steps required to achieve them.

A business process consists of a recurring chronological sequence of activities to achieve a clearly defined process result. It has a starting point (process trigger) and at least one end point (process result).
